Symptoms of fault: Noisy suspension? Is your vehicles air suspension rising slowly or perhaps failing to rise at all? Vehicle stuck at Level 1. Failing to progress through Levels 2,3,4. Suspension error light showing. 01400 or 01577 code shown? Yellow suspension error light lit? The fault: The piston Rod bearing and ring within your vehicles EAS air compressor is worn reducing output significantly. The poor quality piston ring within your air suspensions compressor wears over time causing these symptoms. The piston ring within the compressor unit of your air suspension system deteriorates over time, the OEM piston ring is made from a soft plastic that wears quickly, this wear substantially reduces the output of your compressor leading to noisy, slow rising or non-rising suspension. The solution: Simply install a new replacement piston connecting rod and PTFE piston ring and restore your compressor. You will receive: 1x piston connecting rod; 1x PTFE Piston ring; 1x O shaped gasket o-ring; 1x Shaped gasket o-ring; 2x Screws; 4x Cable ties. Air Suspension Compressor: A device that compresses and pressurizes air. Used to inflate air springs. An Air Suspension Compressor also called Air Compressor or Air Pump, inflates or deflates air spring bags as necessary. When a vehicle with air suspension drops below the factory-defined height, the air suspension compressor, also simply called an air compressor or air pump is activated and inflates the air bags or air struts. Before you buy a compressor repair kit please keep in mind that the main reason a compressor fails is because there is a leak in the Air Suspension System causing the compressor to overwork and "Burn Out". The most common cause for a leak in the system is an old leaky air spring bag.
